The boundary fences of the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla have been part of its establishment in 1995 and 1996 for political icons of the "fortress Europe". 2005 the fences were extended to 7 meters height against the poverty-immigrants. Also 2005 Karina-Smigla Bobinski has been invited to Spain. She, also with a emigration background, brings this border fence into the Gallery. The mostly part in the center of the gallery is separately locked. Visitors can not go in there and it's very burdensome to move around. |
